Wearing safety eyewear in your workshop, yard or construction site can protect your eyes from injury or damage. Your eyes should always be protected from any potential harm like airborne chemicals, dirt, and debris. Wearing safety glasses is truly your best defense against eye injuries.
It’s almost unreal to hear this; the top ten citations in one year included 1,369 violations for the lack of face and eye protection. These included the following sub-standards that were not being followed:
